Gilroy Opens with 1-1 Tie

Gilroy High gets the home portion of its field hockey schedule under way at 3pm today when the Mustangs host Monte Vista.

The Mustangs opened nonleague play Friday when they played to a 1-1 against Los Gatos, the team Gilroy knocked out of the CCS playoffs last year.

The Wildcats scored first, but GHS got the equalizer when Amanda Spellman scored assisted by Dana Schoeneman and Erin Magill.
