Jennie Cienega, 56, died in San Jose Aug. 19, 2003. She was born in Madera and has been a Gilroy resident for more than 25 years.

She is survived by her children, Joseph Cienega of Salinas, Tony Quitavis of Salinas, Jimmy Prado of Gilroy and Joel Cota of Gilroy. She is the sister of Tony Murillo of Salinas, Lilly Mucha of Salinas, Christina Perez of Gilroy and Sandra Nava of Woodland; grandmother of eight and great grandmother of three. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Cienega was preceded in death by her mother Nancy Deleon and a brother Benjamin Deleon.

Jennie was a counselor at the Gilroy Family Resource Center, she was a member of the AA and NA fellowships.

Jennie’s family would like to thank all of her friends and family for their love, support and prayers.

Memorial Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy.

JoAnn Nylander died peacefully in her sleep at her home in Morgan Hill on Aug. 15, 2003. She was 71 years old.

Joann is survived by her sons, Frederick A. and Michelle Nylander of Morgan Hill, Curtis W. and Marcy Nylander of San Ramon and a daughter Janice Dourity of Morgan Hill. She was the grandmother of Paul Nylander of San Jose, Susan E. Nylander of Half Moon Bay, David Nylander of Morgan Hill, Erin Henson of San Jose, John Stagnero of San Jose, Melissa Nylander of San Ramon and Forrest Nylander of San Ramon and great grandson, Brogan Henson of San Jose.

She is also survived by her step-mother Jane Gleason Trent of Oregon; twin sister Josephine May Sargent of New Jersey; sisters Beverly Trent Coyne and Christine Trent DeLeo; brothers Richard L. Trent of Maryland and Glenn W. Trent; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred F. Nylander.

JoAnn enjoyed reading, rides in the country, the beach, shoppping, parties and eating out with family and friends.

Funeral services will be today at 7 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, 17720 Monterey St., Morgan Hill.
