Jessica Quintos 12th Grade

Jessica Quintos, senior at Christopher High School
Inspired by? I am inspired by the individuals in the world who are not as lucky as high school students in my community, but despite their situations they still rise above and accomplish amazing things in our world. I tell myself that if these individuals can overcome their struggles, then I can get through the little problems in my day.
Favorite subject? Math is by far my favorite subject in school. I love math because the answer is either right or wrong, and if it is wrong I can look back and learn how to get the right answer.
If you had power to change one thing? If I had the power to change one thing in the world it would be to change the way individuals think. I would love to see a world with no judgement or the desire to result in violence.
Where would you like to travel? If I could go anywhere I would go everywhere! I have always wanted to travel the world and visit all the cultures I have not been able to experience. I have always wanted to go to Europe, Ireland, and Australia. I would make a point to travel to the Philippines, as well, and learn about the culture and environment that my grandparents grew up in.
Biggest challenge? The biggest challenge in my life at the moment is time management and priorities. With school, extracurricular activities, and college applications always on my mind it is extremely difficult to prioritize and find the most effective use of my time while still trying to enjoy senior year.
Dream job? My dream job would be a pediatric oncology physician. I have always loved science, and I want to pursue a career in the medical field. I also love working with and caring for young children.
Plans after high school? After high school I plan to attend a four year university to begin working towards a bachelors degree, so I can attend graduate school to pursue a career in medicine.
What makes you smile? The most abundant cause of my smiles is my 1-year-old sister. She brings so much joy and laughter to everyone she is acquainted with.
