Lewd on the Levee
Gilroy – Keith Richard Rossi, 33, of the 200 block of Churchill Place, was arrested 10:17am Friday, on the Uvas Creek Levee between Laurel Drive and Miller Avenue for soliciting or committing a lewd act in public, possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer. Police were unavailable Monday to comment on what specific lewd act was being solicited. They were also unavailable to comment on whether Rossi is under suspicion for being connected to any of the rash of sexual assaults that occurred this spring.
Rollover Accident, But No Injuries
Morgan Hill – A single-vehicle accident aroused the curiosity of residents on their way to work and school, but the driver was not seriously injured after his car rolled over near the intersection of Santa Teresa Boulevard and Sunshine Street Oct. 2.
The 18-year-old male driver told police he did not need medical attention and was standing outside the vehicle when officers arrived on the scene. He said he swerved to avoid a dog in the road, and his care rolled down into a ravine just south of a nearby creek. The driver was not charged in the accident, and no other vehicles were involved.
