Indian returns to South Valley
Indian Motorcycle of Hollister will celebrate its grand opening April 11-12 at the new showroom located at 411 San Felipe Road. The Indian Motorcycle factory demo truck will be onsite both days giving motorcycling enthusiasts the opportunity to ride the new 2014 Indian Chief line-up. Also as part of the grand opening celebration Branscombe Richmond from the TV-series Renegade and Sturgis Motorcycle Hall of Fame Inductee will make a special appearance all the way from the Aloha state for the two-day long celebration. There will also be plenty of music, food, beverages and giveaways to keep the party rolling. Demo rides are free and open to all licensed riders with a valid motorcycle endorsement. Gilroy hotel recognized worldwide
Gilroy's Best Western PLUS Forest Park Inn was recently nominated for Best Fan Award 2012, and showcased during the Best Western International Convention and Global Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. This prestigious honor is only given to five hotels out of more than 4,000 Best Western properties worldwide.
Gilroy mural repainted and restored
Artist Gianni Martino, a resident of Italy who first painted the Fifth Street mural 20 years ago, returned to Gilroy in October to restore his original work of art. Gianni and his assistant, Mauro, completed the work Oct. 18. The Gilroy Downtown Business Association invited the community to join in celebrating the refurbishment of this downtown icon and to give thanks to the artists for their efforts.
