The Tennis Shop celebrates grand opening
The Tennis Shop, a new full service tennis shop near downtown Morgan Hill, held a grand opening event March 19 with owners Trent and Rebecca Norris along with family and friends. The shop offers tennis racket stringing, a racket demo program, shoes, bags, apparel and accessories. The South County is very pleased to now have a local tennis shop. Fortino named Rabobank business banking officer
Phil Fortino has been appointed vice president and business banking officer for Rabobank, N.A. As business banking officer, Fortino is responsible for fostering relationships with small- to medium-sized companies and providing solutions to meet the banking needs of customers in Gilroy, Hollister and the surrounding area. Before joining Rabobank, Fortino served as small business banker for Bank of America and was president and general manager for his own company, Fortino’s Total Home. He attended Gavilan College in Gilroy and Fresno Technical College. He is involved with several organizations in Hollister, including the Rotary Club, Community Foundation, Elk’s Lodge, Chamber of Commerce and the Hollister Downtown Association.

GPS Flea Market and Carnival
The big scissors and red ribbon were brought to the Gilroy Prep School Flea Market and Carnival event on April 28. Surrounded by students, Principal James Dent cuts the ribbon. The school provides a world-class education to students of Gilroy. Beginning with kindergarten through second grades, GPS will expand to K-8 over the next six years.
