Antolin Garcia-Torres' mother, Laura Torres, sobbed outside her home at Maple Leaf RV Park when she thought about her son being taken away and charged with the murder of 15-year-old Sierra LaMar, a crime she is certain he didn't commit.

Gilroy police officers have arrested a 13-year-old male student for allegedly transmitting bomb threats over Brownell Middle School's radio frequency Tuesday.

Police arrested a man in connection with the disappearance of Sierra LaMar who has prior arrests and has been linked to at least one incident in a string of unsolved assaults against women in 2009 at two Morgan Hill grocery stores. 

Police arrested a 21-year-old San Martin man they say is connected with missing teen Sierra LaMar, according to Steve LaMar, the missing teen's father.

Volunteers and the family of Sierra LaMar will not conduct a search for the missing teen Saturday, which kicks off the Memorial Day holiday weekend. 

Pit bull kills Chihuahua: On May 13 at 3:35 p.m., witnesses reported that a male pit bull mix of the 8100 block of Springdale Court attacked and killed a neighbor Chihuahua. Police Sgt. Chad Gallacinao said it appeared that neither dog was on a leash. The owner of the pit bull surrendered the dog to be euthanized after the incident.

Police responded to an alleged drive by shooting of a heavyset man riding his bike southbound on Hanna Street and Gurries Drive Wednesday at 7:53 p.m.

Volunteers continue to search for Sierra LaMar almost two months after she was reported missing from her north Morgan Hill home, and her family remains grateful for ongoing fundraising efforts organized by numerous people from the South Santa Clara County community.
