Gilroy police are asking the public for help in locating an armed felon who is on the lam as of Sunday night.

Authorities responded to a single-vehicle traffic accident that slowed traffic on U.S. 101 Friday afternoon, with minor injuries reported. 

The Gilroy Police Department responded to a variety of crimes this week including driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance and theft. Arrests were recorded in this week's GPD blotter from Nov. 19 through 21.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man with a gun in his car after someone reported shots had been fired in the Gilroy area Thursday night, according to authorities.

Investigators from the Gilroy Police Department Anti-Crime Team on Saturday arrested Joshua Williams, 23, for multiple charges related to weapons and drugs.
