Dear Editor:
Thank you for the Jan. 27 editorial titled “War with Iraq the lessor of two evils?” as my wake-up call.
As a Vietnam veteran who now questions the U.S.’s motives for that flawed effort, I did not support our intrusion into Iraq.
However, the mushroom cloud you mentioned did catch my thoughts and made a lasting impression. A mushroom cloud generated in the expanses of the Middle East would have fall-out in my backyard a week or so later. Do I wish this for myself and love ones? No!
We as a nation need to stop this dictator. Now!
