This is one of my rare emails regarding politics.
Noisy neighbors is an area of local politics that has reared its big, ugly head since I’ve lived within the city of Gilroy.
If you know of anyone who resides in the city of Gilroy, unincorporated Gilroy, Morgan Hill or Hollister, or in the general region of, who has in the past suffered from neighbor-noise or is now suffering share this letter with them.
I speak from experience: a noisy neighbor has a devastating effect emotionally, spiritually and financially. Chronic noisemakers near one’s dwelling place is not a small “nuisance” issue. There is now local help.
There is the prospect of a new Gilroy city noise ordinance becoming enacted within the next couple months, but we need a number of pro-active city of Gilroyans to come forward and help get it pushed through.
