Luana M. Kludt

Luana M. Kludt passed away in Salinas on November 21, 2006. She is survived by her daughters, Chrissie Annotti of Salinas and Jacqueline (Tim) Hanna of Sagle, Idaho. She is also survived by a brother, Stephen Hailstone of Hollister, 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband James and son Michael.

Emilio Aladino Orsetti

In loving memory of Emilio Aladino Orsetti who passed peacefully in his sleep December 3, 2006. Emilio was born March 6, 1924, in a farmhouse located on a Buena Vista Avenue orchard established in 1911 by his parents Louise and Aladino Orsetti, Gilroy pioneers. Emilio attended Gilroy schools and graduated from Gilroy Union High School in 1942 with life membership to the California Scholarship Federation.

Danny Marine

Danny Marine passed away November 29, 2006, surrounded by his family and friends in Gilroy. He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Terri Marine; he was the dear son of George and Ursel Marine of Morgan Hill; brother of Mike, Jim and his wife Lynn, and Ray and his wife Dina Marine; uncle to Aaron, Lexi, Matt, and Kelly Marine, Ashley, Adam, and Allyson Burns.

Marion Guerrero

Marion Guerrero passed away after a lengthy illness Sunday, December 3, 2006, in San Jose, CA. She was 61 years old. She is the wife of Diego Guerrero of Gilroy, mother of Kelly Guerrero of Santa Cruz, Tracy (Alvis) Kester of Gilroy, Kris (Roman) Gaeta of Gilroy and Erin (Joshua) Stebbins of Morgan Hill, grandmother of 7. She is also survived by numerous relatives and friends. Mrs. Guerrero was preceded in death by her son Todd Guerrero. She was a longtime sponsor of the Christian Children's Fund. She has been a Gilroy resident for over 30 years.

Minnie L. Thornton

Minnie L. Thornton of Talent, Oregon, passed away November 21st at the age of 88 years. Minnie was born in Sacramento, CA, then moved to Hollister in 1924. A graduate of Hollister High School, Minnie worked for the local branch of the Bank Of America and also was an accounting assistant for Frank Gould before leaving Hollister in 1956. She was preceded in death by her husband Elson Thornton, mother Flora I. Lynn, sister Lucile (Shore) Hackett, and brother Elder Delmue. Minnie is survived by her daughter Darlene (Smith) Holstien, son-in-law James Holstien, 3 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a niece, Barbara (Shore) Poggi and husband Joe of Hollister.

Darlene Anna Bettiga

On November 22, after a courageous year long fight with cancer, the Lord called Darlene Anna Bettiga home. Darlene was born and raised in Visalia, CA, to Raymond and Christine Enlow. Darlane met her husband of 21 years while both were employed at IBM Corporation in San Jose, CA. After retiring, they relocated to Oro Valley, AZ. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and the many road trips taken with her husband Al, but of all her interests, spending time with her grandchildren was what gave her the most pleasure. Darlene is survived by her loving husband, Al Bettiga, mother Christine Enlow Young, sister Betty Bor (Hank), niece Barbara Tilley,(Kevin),and nephew James Jordan, all of Visalia, CA; Her children Randy Tidwell (Barbara), Sandi Valdez (Frank), Susan Abruzzini (Paul), Matthew Tidwell (Teresa), Lisa Bettiga (Marian), and Diane Storms (Don), grandchildren; Adon Tidwell, Daniel, Andrew, and Bradley Abruzzini, Noah and Sophia Tidwell, Callie and Paige McGiffin, Shannon and Matt Storms. Darlene is greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

Robert Jun Nakamura

Jun passed away in his home in Bakersfield, CA, on November 17, 2006, after a year-long battle with cancer. Jun was born and raised in Gilroy. He attended Gilroy High School and joined the Marines shortly after graduation in 1964. He served in Viet Nam before returning to Gilroy to attend Gavilan College, where he was an avid wrestler.

Elizabeth E. Gallardo

Elizabeth E. Gallardo entered into rest on November 30, 2006, leaving behind her loving husband, Elias. She is also survived by her son, Arthur and daughter, Sylvia; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; four brothers, Joe, Saul, Louie and Danny.

Dona Jean Pellandini-Harms

Dona "Jean" Pellandini-Harms, co owner of H&R Foreign Car Service, passed away at her home with her family around her on Nov. 28, 2006. She leaves behind her loving husband Dennis, the man she adored, and whom adored her for over 32 years; her two beautiful daughters Melody and Trina, her oldest, dearest sister Betty; her 7 wonderful grandchildren, Amber, Jeffrey, Jason, Jody, Garrett, Trevor and Rachel, great-grandmother of 3 beautiful boys.
