Apolonia P. Sanchez passed away in Hollister at the age of 89. She was born in Ft. McKavett, TX and lived in Hollister since 1968 coming here from Junction, TX. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and liked sewing and cooking and spending time with her family.
Age 98, born in Indiana, lived in Los Angeles and Gilroy, she passed away of congestive heart failure. Preceded in death by husband William Ervin Lynch, and daughter Nancy Jane Sanderson, she is survived by sons Robert and Thomas Lynch, and daughters Susan Kruse and Judith Lamare, 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. She will also be missed by all her friends from Bridge and Bingo at the Gilroy Senior Center. Service Tuesday August 17, 2010, at 2:00 P.M., Gilroy Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to your favorite charity or the Gilroy Senior Center.
Devout Catholic of Lebanese origin and long time resident of Hollister, CA, born in Michigan and survived by brother James Peters, predeceased by Sheffia Thomas, Nabeeha Edwards , Michael Peters, Nappe Peters, Ralph Peters, Kathryn Studnicka, Louis Peters and Louise Peters, and survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Born in Coyote, Viona attended local schools,and earned certification as a dietician at San Jose State College.She married Jim Walters in 1940, living in San Jose,Merced,Gilroy, and Hollister,until they bought a small ranch in Lincoln CA. in the '70s,when they both retired. She was preceded in death by husband Jim in 1995,is survived by daughter,Melinda Hinde of Soquel, son Jim Walters of Boulder Creek,nieces Joan LaBrucherie,and Roxanne Bracco, both of Morgan hill, and niece Sandra Trinta of Patterson. There will be a private cremation and no service,per Viona's request.
