Gilroy’s new 140-spot parking lot at the corner of Eigleberry and Seventh streets recently opened downtown. The $2.3 million lot, located on the former Gilroy Demonstration Garden, includes a pathway that connects to Monterey Street, ADA-compliant curb ramps and various landscaping features. A group of electric vehicle charging stations on site are not yet operational, as the city awaits services from Pacific Gas & Electric.
