The Borrachos won two games Tuesday to capture the Men’s Fall DD Softball League title at Christmas Hill Park.

The third-seeded Borrachos opened the series with an 11-6 nod over Walton & Sons Masonry. Joe Carbajal’s RBi-double keyed a four-run uprising in the sixth inning and added to a 7-6 Borrachos lead.

Mitchell Reese sparked the Borrachos offense with a triple and two singles. Chris Wong clubbed two doubles for Walton & Sons.

Gilroy VFW Vets, the top seed, turned back Victory Outreach 8-5 behind a triple, double and single from Daniel Montenegro. Mike Montenegro added three RBI with a home run and sacrifice fly. James Jimenez doubled and singled for Victory Outreach.

The Borrachos scored four runs in the top of the first inning on the way to a 9-5 victory over the VFW Vets in the final.

Peter Bisceglia homered and Tony Murillo went 2-for-3 and scored twice for the champions. Frankie Medina homered for VFW Vets.

Freddie Sanchez Hardwood Floors turned a pair of last-inning heroics to take the Men’s D Playoff title Wednesday at Las Animas Park.

Aaron Muro stroked an RBI-single and scored on a Benjie Sanchez double in the bottom of the seventh to earn a 15-14 upset of Dirty Vatos in the opener. John Hagins went 4-for-4 for the Floormen. Marcus Gaeta went 4-for-5 and scored three Vatos runs.

Feather Haven surprised top-seed AG Construction 10-3 as Eric Keen went 3-for-4 with a homer. Luis Garcia paced AG Construction with two hits.

After trailing 13-6 after four innings, Freddie Sanchez Hardwood Floors responded with a 16-15 win in the finale. The Floormen trailed 15-12 with two out when two singles, a walk and a three-run double by Muro earned the title. Freddie Sanchez Hardwood Floors and AG Construction will meet on Wednesday at Las Animas at 6:30 p.m. for the souvenir T-shirts.

Station 55 upset Corey’s Girls 18-11 in a replay of a tied game in Women’s Fall League action Wednesday Christmas Hill.

The loss left Corey’s Girls in second place entering the playoff night. Top-seed Kalai Kraze will play Station 55 on Wednesday at Christmas Hill at 6:30 p.m. Corey’s Girls and Pops’ Gals play at 7:40 p.m.. The two winner square off at 8:50 for the Playoff title.

Kathy Bennett, Barb Lemberger, Michelle Pierson, Chrissy Ivory and Tracy Mason each produced three hits for Station 55. Maya Valdez stroked four hits for Corey’s Girls.
