David Solorzano and Andres Jimenez each scored off second-half corner kicks from Mario Rubalcava to help Gilroy High’s boys soccer team rally for a 2-1 victory over Menlo-Atherton in the third round of the Homestead Cup on Saturday.
Menlo-Atherton scored in the first 30 seconds of the second half before the Mustangs regained control of the match on their way to a second-place finish in their bracket.
Gilroy will face Burlingame next Saturday in the fourth and final round of the tournament.

WRESTLING
Live Oak wrestler Isaiah Locsin won the 120-pound title at the Reno Tournament of Champions.
Locsin, a junior who is ranked No. 1 in the state, won a 2-1 decision over Dalton Macri of Canon-McMillan in the 120-pound tournament final.
Locsin helped Live Oak finish 45th as a team.
Gilroy took 18th with 94.5 points, with 138-pounder Paul Fox and 145-pounder Nikko Villarreal both scoring runner-up finishes.
