Circle and Country Drive in the hills northwest of Gilroy,
according to emergency dispatchers.
A small fire spread across at least a quarter acre of brush about 1:15 p.m. today and threatened structures near Sunflower Circle and Country Drive in the hills northwest of Gilroy, according to emergency dispatchers.
Gilroy firefighters reported the unknown number of structures were “defensible” over the radio and said they had everything under control by 1:35 p.m. after breaking the flames. Cal Fire and other agencies were in route but turned around. The source of the fire was not immediately known.
