Gilroy – Solorsano Middle School finished third overall of 24 team from Santa Clara County in the Middle School Cross Country finals at Christmas Hill Park.
This is the third year that the Solorsano team has been competing in cross country and they triumphed over more seasoned teams. Coaches Dawn O’Connor, Holly Parton and William Parton molded the team together to help make them competitive.
The top Gilroy and Morgan Hill schools in each division were: C-Girls, Brownell, third; C-Boys, South Valley, first; 7th Grade Girls, Solorsano, first; 7th Grade Boys, Brownell, first; Solorsano, third; 8th Grade Girls, Brownell, second Brownell; 8th Grade Boys, Murphy, second; Britton, third.
