Gilroy High’s wrestling team rode three pins to a 47-21 road win over Monterey Bay League rival Christopher on Wednesday night.

Taylor Slattery scored two goals to lead Gilroy High’s girls soccer team to a 2-1 Monterey Bay League victory at Watsonville on Wednesday.

Throughout the first eight games of the year, the San Benito boys soccer team had trouble finishing and putting away teams. Against Christopher on Tuesday, the Balers did just that in a 3-0 win. After a back and forth first half, where neither team could score despite constant pressure on both sides of the field, San Benito took control in the second half.

Hanna Tabron scored 25 points to lead Christopher’s girls basketball team to a 59-53 victory at King City on Saturday.

Taylor Fabing scored 14 points to lead San Benito High’s girls basketball team to a 38-34 victory over Christopher in the consolation bracket final of the Del Mar Tournament on Saturday.

Hanna Tabron scored 20 points, sister Olivia Tabron added 12 points, and Christopher’s girls basketball team cruised to a 51-37 victory over San Mateo in the consolation bracket semifinals of the Del Mar Tournament on Friday.

Wyatt Rocheleau scored 21 points and Shane Suttles added 18 points to help Christopher’s boys basketball team open the Bulldog Chase Tournament with a 56-43 victory over host Sobrato on Thursday night.

Hanna Tabron scored 11 points and Teresa Guerra added 10 points to lead Christopher’s girls basketball team to a 60-26 win at North Monterey County on Saturday.

Christopher High is located on Day Road in Gilroy, but the street sign that hangs outside the school might as well be a tribute.
