Toby Jax Haro, 17, a senior at Mt. Madonna High School, is this week’s “Student of the Week.”
What inspires you?
What inspires me is to be righteous and to live up to my standards of living as God had hoped for me. Art is also pretty influential and keeps my mind entertained or open to the possibilities.
Favorite subject in school:
My favorite subject in school has to be English class because we have interesting discussions and I feel I’m studious in that class.
If you had the power to change one thing in the world:
If I had the power to change one thing in the world it would have to be EVERYTHING. I feel that our free time or activities don’t make us who we are but we’re so caught up in the little things, I’m guilty. As in television, it eats up our days.
Name one big challenge in your life right now:
One big challenge for me is to be a better person, all that I can be, and knowledgeable.
Dream job:
My dream job is to make art for a living because art is one of my favorite things to do because you can express anything and everything.
Your three favorite things:
My three favorite things are the beach, my friends, and J.C. (Jesus Christ).
Favorite book:
I don’t read much, but my favorite books were “Captain Underpants” and “Super Diaper Baby” besides the Bible. But the Bible is actually my favorite Book.
Plans post-high school:
I don’t know exactly what I want to do after high school but I’m going to college and explore what I can do.
Something that makes you smile:
Moments with my girlfriend makes me smile. I’m very blessed for my family and friends and the opportunities provided for me.
Top three songs on your iPod or iTunes:
“Sunset” by the Internet, “Provider” by N*E*R*D* and “Operation Doomsday” by MF DOOM are the most played in my iPod.
