Twenty high-end watches worth $30,000 were stolen early Friday morning from the Factory Watch Outlet on Leavesley Road.
Employees arrived that morning to find the rear window of the business smashed, two glass display cases smashed and 18 Versace and 11 Valentino watches missing. The theft occurred about 3:50 a.m. Police were able to collect some evidence off which they may be able to generate leads, said Sgt. Jim Gillio. He would not describe the evidence.
Just before 4 p.m. that same day, a Hispanic woman with short hair estimated to be 40 years old, 5 feet 1 inch and weighing 160 pounds, swiped more than $1,000 in sunglasses from the Solstice Outlet, also on Leavesley Road.
