It’s Halloween and we all know what means. Yes, it’s time to take an old, untrustworthy car out into the middle of an abandoned town/forest/farm and explore. This is best done with friends who are just as stupid as you. But just so you have the upper hand in surviving your Halloween road trip, here is a survival guide.

As one small town in California, we may not have the financial resources or political power to change the tobacco industry’s marketing practices toward youth. However, we do have the power to stem the flow of cigarettes to our youth through illegal sales. And we have the responsibility to do so as well.

Change of season signals visit to the pumpkin farms
October launched into South Valley this year bringing with it the mother of all Indian summers. The first days produced August-like temperatures, and nobody around here was talking about frost on the pumpkin!
Why do outlet stores leave doors open with AC running?
We were just at the outlets in Gilroy and went into a store. The air conditioner was blasting and they had all four doors open at the business. Why would they leave the doors open when it was in the high-80s?

Wedding anniversaries require specialty gifts
Recently, my husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary. I won’t say which one—but I was 5 when we married. Really.
