Josephine Jo Jo" Jimenez, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, February 3, 2012, in Hanford, CA. She was 87 years old. Born in Mountain View, CA to the late Nicolas and Maria Perez, the family later moved to Watsonville, CA where she graduated High School and met the love of her life Daniel Jimenez, who has preceded her in death. She was a phone operator for the military during World War II. She married Danny and moved to Dinuba, CA where they purchased the Tower Theatre, and later changed the name to Maya Theater. They managed the Maya until 1977.
A gathering service will be held on Monday, April 27th, 2015, at South Valley Community Church Kelton Campus in Gilroy, CA from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M., to give condolences to the family. The main service will begin at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be at the Gavilan Hills Memorial Park immediately following the church service with a reception at the church after the burial. Visitation will be Thursday, June 12th, 2014, from 12:00 noon until 8:30 P.M., with the Rosary offered at 7:00 P.M. at the mortuary chapel. Family and friends will leave the mortuary on Friday morning at 9:30 A.M. for a Mass at 10:00 A.M. at the Old Mission San Juan Bautista. Interment, San Juan District Cemetery.
