Vernon (Vern) Schofield born January 8, 1925 in Gilroy and was the only son of Bruce and Florence Schofield. He was a lifelong resident of Gilroy where he passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the age of 92. Vern proudly served in the US Navy as a Mailman 3rd Class from 1945-1947, and returned to Gilroy to eventually open South Valley Welding where he provided the South County with welding services in-house, on-site and in the fields.
Frances Lindeleaf passed away at age 89 on March 9, 2010, at her home in Gilroy . She was preceded in death in 1996 by her husband of 50 years, Ray. They worked together for over 30 years in farming one of the last surviving prune orchards in the Santa Clara Valley. Frances is survived by her loving son Warren Lindeleaf and his partner Ed Hall of Sacramento; niece Carolyn Mendoza of Cottage Grove, OR; and nephews David Larson of Morgan Hill, Jerry Lindeleaf of Fresno, Bob Lindeleaf of Fresno, and Don Lindeleaf of Bend, OR.

Eric Lee Patterson November 22, 1947 - April 27, 2012 Eric Patterson, age 64 passed away peacefully surrounded by his children on April 27, 2012. Eric was born in Santa Ana and was raised in Solvang.
Debbie Nunes passed away at the age of 42 in Hollister where she made her home for the past 22 years. She was born and raised in Morgan Hill and graduated from St. Catherine School in 1978 and Live Oak High School in 1984. Debbie went on to receive a BS in biology from the University of California at Davis. She is survived by her parents Carl and Barbara, her brother Craig and sister Cindy, and their spouses Connie and Chip, nephews Christopher and Jonathan and nieces Melissa, Mary, and Erica, many friends and extended family. Debbie worked for Seminis and Incotec in the seed research division and most recently worked at Hazel Hawkins Hospital where she derived much pleasure caring for her patients and building relationships with her hospital family. Debbie had a kind and giving heart and will be missed by all who loved her. Donations may be made in memory of Debbie to the San Jose Fire Fighters Burn Foundation to benefit burn survivors c/o Habing Family Funeral Home. Rosary will be held Monday November 24th, 2008 at 7:00 P.M. with viewing to begin at 3:00 P.M. at Habing Family Funeral Home located at 129 4th Street Gilroy.
Beloved family man and friend, Bob Scott, passed away at his home in Gilroy on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at the age of 80. He will be deeply missed. Bob was born and raised in Southern California. He relocated his family to the Bay Area in 1969 and was a long-time resident of San Martin. Bob graduated from Union High School in 1948. From childhood, Bob had a great passion for flying. He enlisted in the US Air Force in 1951, achieving the rank of 1st Lieutenant as an F-86 Sabre pilot. In addition, he served in the California Air National Guard. Bob established his career as a commercial airline pilot and captain for Western Airlines and Delta Airlines, retiring in 1990. He had many talents and hobbies, with his favorites revolving around aircraft, street rods and NASCAR racing. Bob loved to spend time in Hawaii, enjoying the warm weather and beautiful sunsets. Having a strong Christian faith, he was a member of the Church of Christ for many years. Bob was a generous man with a huge heart. He was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need.
