Allen B. Wisotsky

Allen was born April 25, 1940, and passed away July 23, 2010. He is a Beloved husband to Lindy, "Pop" to Rachel, Joe, Zev, Sarah, and Jacob. He is a brother to Betty Bloom and Mayer "Sonny" Wisotsky as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Allen chose to be a teacher and worked in Los Angeles and Gilroy for 30 years. His compassion and ability to see students as individuals helped so many in need. His favorite activity was spending time with his family. He did this by going on camping trips, playing games, and telling stories. Allen loved all sports, but especially baseball. When he was unable to play, fantasy baseball became a new way to enjoy the sport. Allen belonged to Congregation Emeth where he admired Zev and Sarah become a Bar/Bat Mitzvah. His greatest joy was being a part of and planning his grandson Jacob's Bar Mitzvah. Allen was dearly loved and will be missed by his family and friends.

Gloria Urquidez Salinas May 18, 1930 – September 1, 2012

GLORIA URQUIDEZ SALINAS, 82 of Gilroy passed away Saturday, September 1, 2012, after leukemia for two years. Mother of David Gallardo (Olga), Tom Gallardo (Dolly) and the late Ruben Gallardo (Connie). Grandmother of Patti Eafrati (Tom), Hector Gallardo (Laura), Mario Gallardo (Lea), Mathew Gallardo (Connie), Perry Gallardo, Bruce Gallardo and Ruben Gallardo Jr. Sister of Ruben, Adela, Elisa and Elionor.

Gabriel Bernal Diaz

Passed away in Salinas at the age of 93. Private cremation will be followed by private inurnment in San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella.

Daniel S. Cuevas, Jr.

Dan was born in San Jose, Ca to the late Daniel S. Cuevas, Sr. and the late Evangelina Ochoa-Cuevas. He is survived by wife Eileen T. Cuevas, children Patrick and Alicia Cuevas, daughter in-law Maria and granddaughter Eva.

Martin (Marty) R. Hall

Survived by his loving wife, Susan, of 32 years, passed away on October 4, 2009. He is survived by his children, Brian (Teresa), Jeff (Karen), Derek (Tina), Meg, Jason (Jody) & Julie (Steve). Loving grandpa (PaPa) to Darrien, Makayla, Taylor, Mykelle, Zachary, Jake, Brandon, Briana, Dawson, and Pierson. Survived by many siblings, nieces and nephews. Please join us to celebrate his life at the M&H on Saturday, October 24th, 2009, at 1:00 P.M.

Gladys J. Cembellin

"Glo" was born in Dallas, OR, daughter to Western and Myrtle (DeHaven) Elliott. She is the youngest of seven children, and was the final surviving member of her original family. Gladys was raised on her family cherry and prune farm in Dallas, OR which was established by her grandfather, James Elliott in 1883 and is now the largest, and one of the oldest, prune farms in the state of Oregon. After graduating from Dallas High School in 1942, Glo entered Oregon State University in Corvallis and in 1946 she graduated with a bachelors of science in Physical Education, a minor in home economics, and earned her teaching credential. That same fall she accepted a fulltime teaching position at Hollister High School in Hollister, Cal. at the age of 21. Glo taught physical education and other courses and coached athletic teams there for over 27 years. During this time Gladys was also active with the Hollister City Recreation Department, and she was a board member of the San Benito County Recreation Department.

Jose A. Garcia (Josito)

Jose A.Garcia Jr.Passed away a resident of Hollister at the age of 33,born in Gilroy but lived all his life in Hollister. Josito enjoyed fishing, football, barbequeing spening time with his family. He is preceded in death by his father Jose A. Garcia, died in 1995. He is survived by his mother and step-father Evagelina Garcia and Paulo Morales,his three children Jose A.Garcia III,Adam I.Garcia,and new born Zinnia N.Garcia, step-daughter Jazmyne Ramirez,girlfriend Leah Torres, his sister's Veronica Garcia, Azalia Garcia and brother David Garcia, his niece's and newphew's, and family all of Hollister. We all want to express how thankful we are for your expression of love for our family during this difficult time. Josito, we love you and will miss you very much.

George T. Lejman

George Lejman passed away on January 1, 2010 in Morgan Hill, CA. He was born December 17, 1924 in Chicago, Ill. After graduating high school, he served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, and received a Purple Heart in the European African Middle Eastern Theater as a tail gunner on a B25.
