The Christopher girls golf team was holding its breath as the final scores were tallied. A collective sigh of relief could be heard as the Cougars (6-0) won their closest match of the year, a 283-290 win over Salinas at home Monday. Christopher Natalie Gutierrez and Salinas High's Madison Chapman tied for medalist honors, both shooting a 47. Gutierrez and Chapman both had multiple pars in the match. Nina Velez shot a 54 for the Cougars, while Alex Granados shot a personal best of 57.  Christopher will be back in action at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Pacific Grove. Â
