Rapazzini Winery
Rapazzini Winery was opened in 1962 by Jon Rapazzini at the intersection of Highways 101 and 25 just south of Gilroy. Brothers, Charlie and Alex Larson, purchased the winery in 2000 where they continue to make great wines at affordable prices. They offer a wide range of 30 different wines -including 20 specific varietals and Almond Champagne.
Repairs coming to First Street?
What is happening to First Street? Why doesn’t the city take care of this major road? It is literally crumbling to pieces. If you pay attention to any of the entry areas to the shopping centers you will see all the pebbles and rocks from the street. This road is the worst road in our city and it seems like there has been little or no effort to maintain it.

Docents ready to hike Sierra Vista Open Space Preserve
Upper Penitencia Creek slashes a deep gorge in the Diablo Range near the northeast corner of San Jose. The lower portion of the gorge comprises Alum Rock Park with trails and picnic grounds close to the creek. Most of the lands you see rising high above Alum Rock Park are part of Sierra Vista Open Space Preserve, a 1,676-acre area that virtually encircles the cavernous Upper Penitencia Creek drainage.
