A private memorial ceremony will be held in Miami Heights near the farmhouse where Shirley and Melberne raised their children. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Friends of San Martin Animal Shelter (http://fosmas.org/donate.html). Donations will be used towards building an outside cat enclosure that the shelter has needed for some time. It would allow the shelter cats to get some fresh air, but be protected!

Loving wife, mother,and grandmother to 11 grandchildren & numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, passed away peacefully to Jesus's arms on May 14, 2010, at the Hospice Hospital in Hughson, CA. She left her husband Sonny Young of Modesto, CA, daughters Sally Mack, Barbara Greer, and Linda Myer. She was proceeded in death by her son Gary Jackson, her mother Ruby Williams, father Johnny O'Neal, brother Carl O'Neal, and her sister Silvia O'Neal. She was a great wife and mother, very much loved and cherished and she will be missed very much. Internment will be at the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Santa Nella, CA. on Saturday May 22, 2010. In leau of flowers please make any donations to Hospice Hospital in Hughson, CA.
