Inez B. LaMonte died Sunday evening at her home in Hollister at the age of 91. Wife of the late Charles "Chick" LaMonte and sister of Ida Kincaid of Tres Pinos. Graveside services will be Friday, Nov. 3rd at 3:30 pm at the Santa Cruz Memorial Park, 1827 Ocean St., Santa Cruz.

Vernon L. Leonard
Vernon L. Leonard died Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, at the age of 87. A native of Depew, OK, he came to Gilroy 65 years ago. He loved to farm and raise animals. Many generations of students that attended Rucker School will remember "that old farmer" who would have his horse and dogs do tricks while they were at recess.

Joseph G. McCormack, M.D. was born September 27, 1917 in St. Paul, MN. He grew up during the depression, amidst a hard-working Lutheran family who was very thankful for the generosity of the corner grocer. They were given food during the month “on credit”; paying for the bill at the end of the month when they had enough money. Some days, lunch was soda crackers and water.
